7Vision Studios is hosting two 3-day workshops, creating a safe, supportive environment, and giving guidance to youth participants as they collaborate with mentors to offer support and encouragement to express their unique voice. These workshops will be small, six to ten youths, aged 12 to 17.
IN OUR WORKSHOPS

Youth will have gained experience, skills, and had fun engaging with their creative expression, and found a potential new healthy outlet to continue to explore.

Youth have shared their voice and received positive reflections, in a safe, healthy community setting, to help them feel more connected, with a greater sense of belonging, as a valuable member of the community.

Youth have an opportunity to connect with indigenous elders and/or culture-bearers, in an engaging and relatable way, with the potential for newfound awareness and practice in connection to the land.

Youth have received inspiration and encouragement from the experience of working alongside local professional artists / mentors.

Poetry / Lyric-Writing & Recording in Nature:
Participants will have the opportunity to:

Sit in nature, observe and write.

Write their own raps or spoken word poetry, with mentorship from local professionals.

Learn about recording art and record their own pieces.

Share their songs and/or perform for the community.
Workshop #2
July 31- August 2
Showcase August 3rd
Music Video-Production in Nature
Participants will have the opportunity to:

Sit in nature, observe and write.

Write their own raps or spoken word poetry, with mentorship from local professionals.

Learn about recording art and record their own pieces.

Share their songs and/or perform for the community.

This workshop will be led by local professional Hip-Hop artist Quincy Davis and featuring guest artist, Talilo Marfil.
